There's only one word that described my mood at the end of the episode: outraged.
DEAR VD WRITERS, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU!?
Don't you guys understand that all Delena fans have been waiting, hoping, and praying that Damon and Elena would get together? There has not been one moment where they truly have been together until now. As the episode progressed and Delena's relationship blossomed, I, along with a million of other Delena fans (via Twitter) were ecstatic for Elena's change of heart to dump the pathetic, clingy ripper for the beautifully sculpted, bad-ass Damon.
Oh wait, but no.
The writers decided to rip the hearts of all Delena fans and throw them out the window when Caroline's revelation of Damon and Elena's sire bond was revealed, explaining Elena's sudden lust for Damon.
Or, perhaps, she truly is in love with Damon.
No, that idea is completely outrageous to the writers, who would never incorporate Elena and Damon's soul mate status into the show, despite the huge Delena fan base. I mean, for goodness sake, Elena even said herself that things would probably be different if she had met Damon first. Well, guess what, he did meet her first!
However, I won't lose hope and I believe that Delena will prevail.
On a side note, I'm very happy with the progressive Klaroline relationship.
