I love the Revlon Colorstay nail polish line since one coat is opaque and shiny enough already so I usually stop there.
I painted my nails in the color Midnight (a dark blue) and layered a coat of this blue multi-colored sparkle polish from PacSun (the brand is Black Poppy). Sadly, there was no name anywhere on the bottle.
Of course, I topped my nails off with Revlon's Quick Dry Top Coat.

What Should I Wear?: Two Dresses and Creme Wedges
I'll be attending a semi-formal event this weekend and I'm a little undecided on what to wear.
I'm definitely leaning toward the little black dress since the fit is very nice and I just feel good in it. Yet the green one will probably stand out a little more. The fit seems awkward unless I put my hair up which may be a hassle since I will have to rush a little. Both are from H&M and was around $20-25, an absolute steal. However, I did splurge on the Michael Kors creme wedges. Oops.
I'm 79% for sure going with the black dress but I was just wondering what you guys would choose! This idea was inspired by my friend, who also has my name, Emily.
As for the shoes, these 4" (though the platform is 1" so it feels more like 3") creme wedges are so comfortable and easy to slip on due to the zip on the front. This will definitely pair up with many different outfits in the future. I love them.
I'll also most likely pair each of these with these gold earrings on the right from Nordstrom Rack.

I apologize for the poor lighting. The green is a little more lively in person. Don't mind the wrinkles either haha |

Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara Review
So I've tried the Revlon Photoready 3D Mascara in the non-waterproof and waterproof version and I decided to review the product as a whole.
Pro: This mascara doesn't clump. Sort of. (I'll elaborate more on the con section). The waterproof one doesn't smudge on me (yay!). It lengthens and volumizes my lashes, making them look very lovely. It honestly does everything you expect a mascara to do. The wand consists of tiny, thin, flexible bristles that even curve to the top, for getting into the crevices of your lashes. I really like the shape of it since I don't get it on my top eyelid.
Con: The waterproof mascara removes like one; it's quite difficult to get off sometimes. The results aren't absolutely amazing but gets the job done and I ain't complaining, just don't expect some false lash effect. This does clump after a couple coats (it says on the packaging to not apply more than 2), which really sucks since I love layering coat after coat for my mascaras. The tips of the wand seems more of a nuisance rather than a convenience since that's where most of the mascara formula goops on (as you can see from the picture); hence, goops on my lashes. The results from the non-waterproof version is better.
Conclusion: This is a good mascara. Good, not great, at least for my lashes. I admit it keeps a curl well and the non-waterproof one works better than the waterproof version, which dries out my lashes like crazy! I may repurchase the NW one in the future but probably not the WP one, I'd recommend Covergirl's Lashblast Waterproof or Covergirl's new Clump Crush water-resistant mascara (review coming soon) instead.

Fashion Role Model: Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis:
Kunis's seductive eyes and glossy brown hair most likely landed her as Esquire's 2012 Sexiest Woman Alive. However, in addition to her beautiful complexion, she also seems like a very cool person with a nonchalant, laid-back attitude in contrast to the glitz and glam of celebrities.
Not to mention her amazing style and ability to pull off daring outfits/dresses. My favorites are (even though I like almost everything she wears):
Beautiful dress and hairstyle |
This dress is gorgeous but I do think her hair can be slightly adjusted but still close to perfect. |
Greek goddess much |
This is probably my favorite of the bunch because I feel like it's very "Kate Middleton" minus the hat |
As for a couple of casual outfits (she usually comes out in sweats though but she's still flawless):

Benefit Bad Gal Mascara Review
I recently purchased the travel-size version of Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara, which has been a well-known favorite since its release. So I decided to give it a go and the results were honestly not that great.
The brush is a big, "natural" (by that, I mean it's NOT rubber) brush, the norm for most mascaras. The first time I did get some mascara on my eyelid due to the size but I got used to it after that.
As for the formula and effect of the mascara, I'd say it was pretty mediocre my first time. It was very "natural" and didn't do much for my lashes at all (I'd say Maybelline Full N' Soft). Unless you have incredibly long lashes and want some extra "color" or a teensy bit more thickness, I'd say this would work wonders. But with my straight, short-ass lashes, it definitely did not work very well at all. I must say though that after using it a few more times, the results were quite better, if possible. I'd say they were lengthened, a little more voluminous and was kept curled.
So that's why my biggest complaint about this mascara is the smudging. Mascaras and eye products in general smudge on me very easily due to my oily eyelids and just the shape of my eye. This gave me raccoon eyes in 3 hours; I tested this by not wearing any other product but this. It was such a disappointment, similar to what happened with Physician's Formula Jumbo Organicwear Mascara (the black tube), which was PHENOMENAL but I sadly had to give it up. However, I think I may repurchase it again and use that mascara as a base and just coat it with a waterproof mascara to minimize smudging since I loved it so much.
All in all, my opinion on this product improved from my first impression and I'll probably try to put on a coat of waterproof mascara over this to prevent those unattractive raccoon eyes. Whether or not I'll repurchase this, not too sure since Covergirl LashBlast and Maybelline One by One are cheaper (even though the travel size was only $10) and I don't have to go through the hassle of using a waterproof mascara.

Versatile Blogger Award
Thanks to the amazing Courtney, I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award. You guys should definitely check out her blog!
Here are the rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Include a link to their blog
3. Select 15 new bloggers you follow regularly
4. Nominate these bloggers for a Versatile Blogger Award, leave a link to their page and a comment on their latest post to let them know they have been nominated.
5. Tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
1) I'm a clutz. No, really. I seem to always trip over my feet at one point in the day and fell down the stairs 3 times within my first semester in school. I also can't seem to drink out of a water bottle properly (pretty sure it's probably Arrowhead's bottle design though).
2) Donuts are my weakness. I'm pretty sure I'm double-dipping here and mentioned this in another post before but there's just something about the delicious, sweet, fried dough.
3) I'm not a big water drinker. When I was younger, I hardly ever drank water. I'm pretty sure I'd just drink milk and apple juice which is pretty ridiculous looking back on it now. I still find it difficult to drink it but make myself anyways.
4) I don't really text. *Commence gasp* I mean I can text and I do occasionally but I guess it's because I don't really have a smart phone and I never truly felt a need to do it. I just have too much to write so I like e-mail better (phone calls are also more personal) so I don't break my thumbs. I'll probably have to cave in soon due to where the future of technology is heading.
5) My favorite TV show is Friends. If you've ever watched it, you'll know why and if you haven't, you should.
6) I have a huge obsession with Harry Potter. Huge.
7) I love watching Ellen. Who doesn't?
Just like Courtney, I'm going to choose 7 rather than 15. Some of you guys aren't exactly "new" but they are blogs I follow regularly so excuse me for bending the rules a bit hehe.

Walking Dead: Season 3 Finale
I won't be doing a recap of "Welcome to the Tombs" (well, not really), the season 3 finale, but I'm just going to give my final thoughts so SPOILERS ARE AHEAD. You've been warned.
Seriously, I commend the writers' ability to tug at the viewers' heartstrings and invoke pity for even the most annoying characters. I'm pretty sure many of us have wanted Andrea to just die already this season but boy I took back my words this episode.
I mean if we really think about all the stupid and annoying things she's done, she deserved to die. But, she did have a change of heart and the fact that she was so. damn. close. to returning to the prison. Ugh. It really sucks because her depressing death (shot herself due to zombie bite) makes us feel like the governor will win (we know that won't be the case though). Sighs, I hate how she's been an "original" character too so it makes it worse for us since we've been with her (or she's been with us) since the very beginning....
I was really shocked that the Governor and his minions just ran off after some bells and whistles and the alarm sounded off. I mean I expected much more.
I still really enjoyed this episode and I'll really miss Milton and Andrea. Even though I hated the latter for a while, it was still very sad to see her go and I'd take her back any day. I also felt very bad for Michonne, who isn't one to display her emotions but when she stayed with Andrea and the look on her face....
Anyways, I'm really glad that they rescued the Woodbury residents. I mean, I get that means more mouths to feed and more objections to fight but I always thought the more the merrier. All in all, this was a sad finale and I cannot believe I have to wait so long for the next season.
What did you guys think?
